This past Saturday the guys from FBR Recruitment had the pleasure of attending the 2018 Aviva Premiership rugby final at Twickenham. The weather couldn’t have been better.  The scene was set for a memorable game between the returning champs Exeter and the eager Saracens keen to take home the cup!  Most of all we had a fantastic group of clients with us to celebrate the day.

The day started off with everyone getting the train, getting acquainted with one another and heading to Twickenham. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, as you’d expect from a rugby final, and everyone was in good spirits.

We sat down for a spot of lunch and a refreshing drink before making our way to our seats for the match. Everyone listened to Mark Ritchie regale the group with stories of his rugby days when he was a young lad. Although I am not sure if we believe he could have given Jonny Wilkinson a run for his money, but if he says so…

Tom Flood, FBR’s Managing Director, was all smiles and looking cool in his shades on the sunny afternoon. Tom said “it was a wonderful day, and it’s nice to be able to say thank you to our clients for supporting us as a new business”

Thank you to everyone that attended the match this year and here’s to more days out like this in the future!

Mark Ritchie at Scorpion's new East Sussex offices.

FBR have worked closely with Scorpion Buildings for the past five years providing both commercial, operational and design staff not only for their head office in Marlborough, but also for their East Sussex offices based in Glynde. The stunning newly refurbished offices were a recent winner in the Commercial Category of the Sussex Heritage Trust 2017 Awards.

I attended their new Glynde office open day last Friday afternoon (24th November) where I met their existing staff including the three new recruits.

I was also lucky enough to have the opportunity to visit their superb new winery project at Rathfinny which is due for completion in early 2018.

Support vehicle to Lee Marsh's Big Bike Charity Hike

FBR have worked closely with J M Scully for the past 10 years providing both commercial and operational staff within their Shopfitting division.

Back in the summer we were approached to sponsor their “charity motorcycle challenge” lead by their operations manager, Lee Marsh. The challenge was to ride approximately 4000 miles around the coastline of the UK on three 30+ year old 125cc motorbikes that had been converted to Café Racers and complete the trip in 14 days. To add to their completed challenge they were camping on the trip which meant they had a tight deadline every day to cover the 285 miles each day; also they had a backup support vehicle carrying spares and all their camping gear. To find out more about their trip see: http://www.bigbikecharityhike.com/

The two charities they were riding for were the Stroke Association and SANDs (Stillborn and Neo-Natal Death charity).
FBR are pleased to announce that they completed the motorcycle challenge within their fortnightly time frame and thus so far have raised over £8500….
Fantastic news and well done to all!
