Job Description
Quantity Surveyor Required. A respected regional building / modular contractor with a rich pedigree of delivering new build and refurbishment projects across the south west and southern England are seeking a knowledgeable “stand-alone” Quantity Surveyor ideally with NEC option 3 & 4 contracts to commercially run a brand new build project in Newquay. The project is split into two MOD blocks with a build value around £6 million.
Generally their portfolio includes MOD, commercial, education, healthcare and industrial sectors with projects typically ranging from £1.5 million up to and over £100 million on 5 -10 year frameworks.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing Tender and Contract documents.
- Preparing Bills of Quantities.
- Risk Management and Cost Control.
- Sub Contractor Work Allocation.
- Preparing Accurate Progress Reports and keeping accurate record of variations.
- Identifying risks throughout the project.
- Complete monthly valuations and payments and prepare detailed scope of works for sub contractors to price.
- CVR’s.
Key Experience and Requirements:
- 5+ years Quantity Surveying experience with a build contractor.
- NEC option 3 & 4 contracts.
- Modular build knowledge an advantage not essential.
- Excellent communication/ team work capability.
- Computer literacy will also be essential.
- The role will be reporting to the commercial manager based in their Head Office in Hampshire.
