Job Description
Electrical Contracts Manager Required. An immediate position has come to fruition for an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager for one of our long standing interiors contractors. They are a fast-paced commercial fit out contractor based in Southampton having a long term trading history and a full order book well into 2025/2026 for one of the largest supermarket food retail chains.
Ideally you will come from an electrical background to oversee the electrical element on multiple food retail projects running simultaneously.
Duties include:
- Ensure that each project is properly planned so that materials and resources are available.
- Take full programme and financial responsibility on their new and existing projects.
- Set out jobs from drawings and specifications and establish the requirements of a project and requisition and necessary installation materials and ensure compliance and test systems.
- H&S Preparation and implementation.
- Accept responsibility for the proper completion of jobs and if required, supervise other operatives as well as liaising with clients, sub-contractors and suppliers when necessary.
- Manage own workload, and that of the teams and sub-contractors to ensure that client commitments are met in a fast-paced environment.
- Work weekends/Out of hours if and when required.
- Manage the Commissioning and Test Electrical Systems & equipment & issue relevant certification.
You:
- Completed a registered apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Trained to 18th Edition.
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3.
- C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing.
- SMSTS or SSSTS training.
- Full Clean Driving Licence.
- 5 years Experience in a similar role.
- Hard working and willingness to travel.
- Excellent Communication Skills.
