Job Description

Accounts Administrator required. FBR Construction Recruitment is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our growing team in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator with accounts experience to play a key role in supporting the finance function and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of financial processes.

The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team, handling a variety of accounting and administrative duties while maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent internal support.

Role Description:
  • Description: Accounts Administrator – Liverpool.
  • Location: Liverpool.
  • Position Type: Full-Time.
  • Sector: Construction / MEP.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing purchase invoices and matching them against purchase orders.
  • Raising sales invoices and maintaining accurate customer records.
  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries.
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Processing employee expenses and timesheets.
  • Maintaining accurate financial and administrative records.
  • Supporting month-end and year-end accounting processes.
  • Handling incoming calls, emails, and general office administration duties.
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc administrative and accounting tasks.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an Accounts Administrator, Finance Administrator, or similar role.
  • Good understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • AAT qualification or studying towards AAT would be advantageous but not essential.
