Job Description
Operations Manager Required. A smashing opportunity has arisen for a driven and tenacious Operations Manager to join a leading building envelope contractor based near Bicester with genuine career progression for the right person.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance business growth and profitability.
- Fill the existing gap for a hands-on, knowledgeable, and hard-working individual who understands the building envelope business.
- Oversee and manage contracts, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Work closely with the team to optimise operations and enhance efficiency.
Tasks:
Working with buyer/project co-ordinator to organise, start on site, see through and complete jobs including:
- Pre-start meetings.
- Creation of RAMs.
- Materials order list.
- Organising & sourcing of labour.
- All on-site H&S.
- Weekly progress reports.
- Variations/QS meetings.
- Sub-contractor invoicing against job budget.
- Start on site with operatives & site visits when/where required.
- Client liaison meetings mid project.
Financial duties including:
- Creating & managing labour budgets.
- Assisting buyer in best suppliers & deals.
- Ensuring monthly applications and invoicing is completed.
- Involvement in estimating when required.
- Deputising for MD in progress meetings.
- Creation of processes/procedures to improve business efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven track record and in-depth knowledge of the building envelope industry.
- Extensive experience in managing contracts and operations.
- Ability to work hands-on and lead by example.
