Job Description
Glazing Estimator Required. A permanent position has a risen for a knowledgeable Glazing Estimator working for a family run business having been operating in the Wiltshire region for over 50 years. The main purpose of the role is to liaise with the client and the commercial estimating manager to gather the relevant information and provide a quotation for works package ensuring that the information is correct and that proposed works is within the capabilities of the Commercial Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse drawings and specifications.
- Itemise work packages.
- Assemble accurate and well organized estimates and proposals.
- Provide clear and detailed quantity take off.
- Work from the relevant price list.
- Liaise with the commercial estimating manager to obtain the final prices.
- Collaborate on project schedules based on knowledge of lead times.
- Check that proposed works is within the capabilities of the Commercial Division.
- Maintain relationships with supply chain partners, suppliers and clients.
You:
- Ideally you will come from the fenestration arena or be an experienced estimator.
- Excellent planning and organisation.
- Experience using CRM tools and platforms would be beneficial.
- Computer skills – Microsoft Office suite.
- Must be able to perform a variety of duties being resourceful and maintaining flexibility.
- Negotiation skills.
- Effective communication.
- Able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Presenting and Communicating – clear and concise instruction understands audience.
