Job Description

I am recruiting on behalf of a national 5-star builder within the housing development sector. They have a healthy land bank with approximately 5 new sites along with new phases on existing sites underway this year and next. They have continued to produce quality over the years and have award winners within their ranks, showing this company is going places. They now require an experienced site manager to join the team on a permanent basis, based just outside of Chichester, West Sussex. This will be a full time job starting on an existing site. This site is traditional build, and a mix of private houses and HA houses.

You will be employed as a site manager on a permanent basis, working 5 days a week. Your day to day duties will include: customer care, managing trades, chairing meetings, health and safety, weekly programme schedules, meeting the customers, materials, delegation to assistants to help, snagging, finishing, completing, handovers and general day to day running of the site. You will also be in charge of the budgets and building to programme on time.

You will need to have relevant experience having worked mainly in the housing development sector. You must have a proven track record to demonstrate you are competent in running a site from start to completion, and show experience having worked on large unit sites. You must have experience working with a high volume house builder and demonstrate what types of survey scores received and relevant KPIs you were marked against. You must be adaptable, proactive, reliable, strong leader and present excellent communication skills. They are looking for somebody who is highly organised and ensures health and safety is maintained to the highest level at all times. You must be confident in managing trades and ensuring programme is on schedule to budget and deadlines set. You must have SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications to be considered for this role.

This is a great opportunity to join a growing business, with increasing reputation, who can offer you a long and healthy career. Salary ranges between £65k-£70k p/a DOE + car/car allowance + bonus. Full time, can start as early as September 2023, working on an existing site.
