£21,000.00-£22,000.00 per year

Benefits: On-site parking, Profit sharing

Job description

Our client has grown rapidly over the last few years to become of one of the region’s largest and privately-owned house builders. Due to the company’s success and continued expansion, they are looking for a new planning assistant to join their vibrant planning department.

As a valued member of the Planning team, you will have full involvement in managing the diverse areas of the planning system on behalf of the company. As part of this process, you will have the opportunity to work closely with in-house departments as well as architects, consultants and stakeholders.

On a daily basis, you will be assisting the Director and Planning Managers in providing support by appraising sites, responding to policy, and researching, drafting and submitting planning applications. You will be required to deliver on planning projects of small, medium and large scale, ranging from 1 to 500+ homes.

The types of projects vary from 1-2 bedroom flats to 4-5 bedroom houses and mixed-use developments in both rural and urban settings. In addition, you will prepare for appeals, committee or any other high-profile public events as well as attending client meetings and site visits as required. The role will allow you to develop your professional career and help deliver new communities while simultaneously supporting and developing the company’s market presence throughout Hampshire and the wider area.

We are primarily looking for candidates with some experience and knowledge of planning processes, laws and regulations. Working in a previous similar role would also be desirable. However, a desire to produce and deliver quality results and eagerness to progress your career as a planning professional is equally welcome.
