Job Description

Operations Assistant – Southampton

An opportunity has opened for a full-time Operations Assistant to join a growing team based in Nursling Southampton.

You will be working with internal and external clients by answering their queries and giving updates. Focus on Import and Export, talking with agents and forwarders to make sure material moves in timely manner and with adequate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Import and Export Procedures.
  • Co-ordinates with Production to ensure on time delivery.
  • Develops operations plans by coordinating requirements with sales, purchasing and traffic functions.
  • To manage queries by other departments and working in team.

  • Basic Operations and logistics (imports and exports) knowledge.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Prepared for working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic IT skills (Office Word – Outlook – Excel). Good team player.


Salary & Benefits:


Office based, 5 days per week. 8:30am – 5pm

23 day’s annual leave (plus Bank Holidays) rising to 28 with service

Pension – 5% employee contribution, 3% employer (rises with service – max 8%)
