Job Description

Relevant experience of working as a Land Buyer, ideally within a House Builder / Development environment.

Our client, a privately owned residential developer are looking for an assistant to intermediate Land buyer to join the team to help accelerate their growth plans. Currently with an output of around 200 units per year, they are looking double that within the next five years. Role:
  • Identify prospective land opportunities for a range of residential developments
  • Undertake initial site feasibility and development appraisal, promoting and presenting potential opportunities to the Land Director.
  • Arrange and attend site viewings with landowners and third party agents
  • Undertake research via online databases, local government websites and via a network of industry contacts
  • Negotiate Head of Terms, legals and manage the purchase of sites up to completion phase
  • Prepare reports and any relevant documentation related to ongoing land purchases
  • Report timely and accurately as requested by the Director either on a regular or ad hoc basis.
  • Relevant experience of working as a Land Buyer, ideally within a House Builder / Development environment.
  • Experience in identifying and purchasing parcels of land within the house building industry.
  • Exceptional negotiating and influencing skills; a confident and professional networker
  • An innovative thinker, with the drive to seek out and pursue new development opportunities
  • Familiarity with all legal and contractual aspects of the land process
  • Able to communicate with a wide range of people, create rapport and trust, and develop and maintain key contacts
