Job Description

A immediate role has come to fruition for an experienced Concrete Supervisor to join a well established Hampshire based contractor whom specialises in concrete works across the UK working on varied projects ranging within concrete and decking between 100m2 to over 100,000m2, typical projects from warehouses to logistic centres, care homes to commercial offices.

Job role:
  • To work with the contract teams to successfully deliver the concrete works on all concrete contracts. Planning and booking all plant and labour and material requirements with the contract team to enable successful delivery of the concrete element of the contract.
  • Prioritise your workload to hit deadlines whilst keeping a high level of attention to detail.
  • Challenge and develop all processes and procedures, ensuring continuous improvement is at the heart of what we do.
  • Be proactive and always lead by example.
  • Ensure that all quality issues under your control are managed and resolved in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Communicate effectively with your team, the business and external stakeholders to develop a strong and professional relationship.
  • Be aware of your team financial budgets and support your line manager in achieving them.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of your team’s KPI’s.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Daily communication with the contract teams regarding progress.
  • Maintaining high levels of H&S and quality on site.
  • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction for all on site activities.
  • Ensure all deliveries are suitably booked into site with the correct notice.
  • Submit weekly labour allocations to sub-contractors ensuring that start dates and programmes are issued.
  • Issue pre-start notification on every contract once labour is confirmed.
  • Ensure that all delivery tickets are checked and signed.
  • Manage communications between site and our client ensuring relationships are maintained and that a professional working environment is always upheld.
  • Undertake slab regularity survey on all contracts within 48 hours of the concrete pour.
  • Communicate all variations and additional works to the relevant members of the contract team.
  • Assist in all problem solving on site, always ensuring that this is clearly communicated with all relevant parties
  • Attend site progress meeting when required.
  • Undertake SHEQ audits when on site.
  • Assist commercial Co Ordinator with setting up and reviewing final accounts.
  • Making sure site diaries are maintained.
  • Ensuring all non-productive events are recorded and communicated to the relevant parties.
  • Assist In checking all invoices relevant to concrete including subcontracts.
  • Following all accidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences assist the Concrete operations manager in the completion of an accident investigation.
Skills or Qualifications:
  • Competent with Microsoft Office 365 suite (particularly Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to use the company Office Management Software system/s (Connect).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • CSCS Card.
  • SMSTS.
  • Working at height.
  • Manual Handling.
  • Slinger Banksmen.
  • Abrasive wheels.
