                    <description><![CDATA[<p><span style="color: #000000;">Mobile Plant Fitter Required.</span> <span style="color: #333333;">FBR Recruitment is looking for a Mobile Plant Fitter. You will be responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of company assets. Travelling to various sites as requested, maintaining and repairing all plant equipment within our range, providing onsite service to customers. Attending breakdowns, carrying out scheduled services, capturing machine damage, completing and keeping accurate and comprehensive maintenance records at all times. Communicating effectively is a key part of the role ensuring the line manager and customers are kept informed as required.</span></p>
<h6>Responsibilities:</h6>
<ul>
<li>Routine maintenance and servicing of heavy plant machinery and vehicles.</li>
<li>Fault finding and repairs of vehicles, small tools and heavy plant.</li>
<li>Carry out scheduled service inspections and serving and repairs in compliance with manufacturers specifications.</li>
<li>Preparing equipment for regular inspections. • Identify equipment for disposal and highlight to management.</li>
<li>Ensure correct PPE is used at all times.</li>
<li>Accurate record keeping.</li>
<li>Ensure that breaches of Health and Safety are dealt with effectively and decisively and referred to the Health and Safety Advisor first and that the Contracts Manager and Managing Director are aware.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external customers, contractors and suppliers ensuring current and future needs are translated into the site operations.</li>
<li>Ensure that quality assurance is maintained to company standards, including the general cleanliness/maintenance.</li>
<li>Any other relevant duties as requested.</li>
</ul>
<h6>Health and Safety</h6>
<p><span style="color: #333333;">All staff are expected to help maintain a healthy and safe working environment by:</span></p>
<ul>
<li>Familiarising themselves with Health and Safety Policy and relevant safe working practices both in spirit and in practice.</li>
<li>Attending Health and Safety training as required according to work carried out and as advised by their manager.</li>

<h6>Job Description &amp; Person Specification – Mobile Plant Fitter Qualifications and Skills:</h6>

<li>Proven experience as a plant fitter/engineer.</li>
<li>Computer literate.</li>
<li>Practical hands-on approach.</li>

<li>Strong communication skills, verbal and written.</li>
<li>Excellent organisational skills.</li>
<li>Able to work as part of a team.</li>
<li>Be organised, able to meet deadlines and priorities tasks.</li>
<li>Be flexible and self-directed whilst also being able to follow instructions.</li>
<li>Ability and confidence to work on own initiative while under pressure, to problem solve and resolve issues effectively.</li>
<li>Have a full UK driving licence.</li>
<li>In date CSCS card.</li>
<li>NVQ or City and Guilds qualification in plant maintenance.</li>

                    <description><![CDATA[<p><span style="color: #000000;">Civil Engineering Estimator Required.</span> <span style="color: #333333;">A superb opportunity has come to fruition for an experienced Marine Civil Engineering Estimator. This role includes remote or hybrid working, site visits and on-site across the UK as required.<br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #333333;">You will be responsible for leading and managing the estimating function for complex marine civil engineering projects, including ports, harbours, piers, docks, coastal and river defence, marine piling, dredging, and associated infrastructure.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #333333;">This role combines leadership of the bid team with hands-on estimating expertise, ensuring accurate, competitive, and risk-aware cost estimates. The position also involves supporting strategic pricing decisions and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.</span></p>
<h6>Estimating &amp; Cost Planning:</h6>
<ul>
<li>Lead and manage the preparation of detailed cost estimates for large-scale marine infrastructure projects.</li>
<li>Analyse project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine scope and necessary resources.</li>
<li>Develop comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.</li>
<li>Prepare and/or validate take-offs, production rates, and specialist marine equipment costs.</li>
<li>Ensure estimates reflect current market conditions, marine construction methodologies, and project-specific risks.</li>
<li>Provide strategic input to improve cost efficiency and project competitiveness.</li>
<li>Track and evaluate post-bid outcomes to improve future estimating processes.</li>
<li>Liaise with bid writer to produce quality submissions.</li>
<li>Preparation of tender-stage project programmes.</li>
</ul>
<h6>Qualifications: (preferred not essential):</h6>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).</li>
<li>Significant experience as an Estimator in marine infrastructure, heavy civil, and marine construction projects, with at least 5+ years in a senior estimating role.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of marine construction methodologies, materials, and environmental considerations.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project planning software.</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and contract documents.</li>
<li>Exceptional numerical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.</li>
<li>Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills to interact effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.</li>
<li>Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.</li>
</ul>
<h6>Preferred Qualifications:</h6>
<ul>
<li>Experience in dredging, pile driving, breakwaters, or similar marine infrastructure projects.</li>
<li>Previous experience leading and mentoring junior estimators.</li>
<li>Driving Licence.</li>
<li>CSCS Card.</li>
<li>Knowledge of NEC suite of contract documents.</li>
</ul>
